鈥淓mployers are clamoring for talent,鈥 said Provost Kate Davy. 鈥淎nd UM-Dearborn has taken on the challenge to graduate talent through the Talent Gateway.鈥
Tharp will share insights into developing a habit of creative thinking. Her best-selling book, The Creative Habit: Learn It and Use It for Life, was the inspiration for UM-Dearborn鈥檚 Talent Gateway.
The Talent Gateway is designed to help students engage in an ongoing process of reflection/action/reflection in order to make more meaning out of their educational experiences, become entrepreneurs of their own lives and careers, form productive habits and develop a creative mindset. Through an interpretive online community and a platform that turns game theory into "gameful creative learning," students are presented with challenges that prompt them to reflect on their academic, co-curricular, work and life experiences, make more meaning out of them, and explore ways to apply what they learned to other contexts.
A reception with student demonstrations of the Talent Gateway immediately follows Tharp鈥檚 talk. To register for the event, visit Talent Gateway website or call 313-593-5390.
